Who Am I and How Can I Help You?
As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Life Coach and founder of Optimal Life Therapy I can help you to identify self sabotaging behaviours, enhance personal happiness, improve relationships, obtain a sense of balance, effectively manage stress, as well as to help you in living a life full of passion and purpose. I have over 10 years of experience working with individuals, couples and families in areas of mental health, addiction, eating disorders, parenting, pregnancy, stress management, relationship issues, self esteem, and athletic performance.
In my life I have developed self awareness through learning how my thoughts, behaviour and emotions play apart in moving me along a path towards releasing my inner critical voice and finding a sense of belonging and self love. Life can present us with significant l challenges and pain where we lose sign of our sense of self and others. I believe that one can reconnect with their sense of self and develop a social network in which they feel appreciation, respect and trust. With all of the challenges that life brings us I have obtained personal happiness through living a physically active lifestyle and having the courage to seek support in order to identify my blind spots, face my fears and to live a life full of passion, purpose, and happiness. Crossfit and fitness has also been an essential part of my self-growth, leading to an increase in self confidence, a profound clarity, enhanced mood, heightened physical health, improved sleep and reduced levels of stress.
Throughout my practice I have seen how stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, and everyday pressure can be relieved through working the body and mind in tandem. This tandem can bring clarity to your life purpose and provide optimal balance in behaviour to conquer life events. This balance will also help you discover how to move from a world of disconnection into a world of connection, empowering you to face the reality of your fears and ultimately overcome them.
I have found Crossfit and fitness as an essential part of my healthy emotional and physical outlet. It has been through life experience and years studying human behaviour and the mind that I have developed an approach that empowers you to find psychological insight, emotional regulation, spiritual reflection and physiological awareness. My goal is to help optimize your life by developing a connection to the mind, body, and soul.
