Shayan was born in Vancouver BC, and graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology in 2019. After completing his education at SFU, he worked as a Registered Kinesiologist, developing his skills in exercise prescription and rehabilitation.
Soon after, Shayan moved to Hamilton, Ontario to complete his Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at McMaster University, graduating in 2021.
Shayan has a special interest in the assessment, and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and pain management. His approach maintains an emphasis on manual therapy and hands-on treatment, while additionally emphasizing the importance of exercise prescription, and patient education. Shayan believes in the importance and inclusion of evidence-based practice into clinical care. It is of the utmost importance that our patients understand why we are using the treatments that we are using, understanding the clinical reasoning behind our decisions.
When not working, Shayan can be found playing community soccer or volleyball with his friends, or collecting many books at Chapters and Indigo. Shayan also enjoys hiking, running, and exploring Vancouver.
