Teresa Wu
Hello! I’m Teresa, and I’m thrilled to share my journey with you as a dedicated Physiotherapist committed to empowering individuals on their path to recovery and wellness. My passion for this field was ignited during my time at Macquarie University, where I graduated from the Doctor of Physiotherapy program.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals, each presenting unique challenges and goals. From sprains and strains to post-surgical rehabilitation, I’ve had the opportunity to guide patients of all ages through the intricacies of musculoskeletal recovery. Witnessing their progress and resilience has been incredibly rewarding.
My expertise extends beyond traditional musculoskeletal rehabilitation. I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals with chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and neurological disorders like stroke, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease. Adapting treatment plans to suit the individual needs of each patient is at the core of my practice, ensuring holistic care and optimal outcomes.
With a background in both clinical and sports settings, I’ve had the opportunity to manage acute injuries on the field and facilitate continued rehabilitation in clinic environments. My time at the Chronic Pain Clinic at Royal North Shore Hospital further enriched my understanding of complex pain issues and reinforced my commitment to evidence-based practices.
Before pursuing physiotherapy, I worked as a Personal Trainer, instilling in me a deep appreciation for the transformative power of exercise. I firmly believe in the importance of an active approach to therapy and strive to make exercise accessible and enjoyable for patients of all fitness levels.
My ultimate goal is to guide you through your recovery journey, empowering you to reclaim your optimal function and pursue your passions, whether it’s returning to sport, work, or simply enjoying a pain-free lifestyle. I look forward to partnering with you on this exciting path to wellness!
